In a shocking move, Meta (Facebook) has closed the account of FairTrial AI, an advocate for justice and fairness, less than 24 hours after its creation. During its brief operation, FairTrial AI published several articles and news pieces exposing judicial and official misconduct, as well as instances of injustice.
The account also shared news from Fonte.News, a channel highlighting corruption, on its Meta page. Meta's abrupt shutdown of the account raises concerns about the platform's commitment to free speech and freedom of opinion. Critics argue this action exemplifies Meta's willingness to censor content that challenges the status quo.
We also received a message from the editor of the Fonte.News news channel Veiko Huuse that Meta had previously closed the Fonte.News page and also Veiko Huuse's personal page, and Meta had issued a lifetime ban.
FairTrial AI's closure has sparked outrage, with many questioning whether platforms like Meta can truly support open dialogue and accountability.
